This is how extreme Amélie's imagination gets .Her precociousness and her benevolent nature shines throughout the movie.Like the time she plays eyes to a blind man and helps him cross the street or when she takes revenge on the abusing shopkeeper who resides in the building.
The cinematography is dream like and different from any other movie i have ever seen.The use of specific colours like red and green is purposefully done to add to the magical way of presentation.If Jean-Pierre Jeunet (director) is a magician then he certainly has conjured a dreamy love story with the backdrop of Paris.With his astonishing details and excellent direction the movie truly deserved the accolades it has received.
The best scene for the movie for me was probably the part portrayed by the young amelie.The young Amelie is really cute and her acting is simply amazing.Like the time when she is in a state of shock when the neighbour fools her into believing she is behind all the accidents happening around her.Or when she screams out loud when her pet fish Blubber attempts suicide!
I guess the fact that i can relate to Amelie's life makes me identify with her a lot.But then thats the case with everyone-We can't help but love characters or music lyrics which we identify strongly with.Anyway its a love story which one should definitely watch.Though the storyline is mundane,its Amelie's way of looking at things and her creativity that makes even the mundane interesting.Watch it as i assure you it will not disappoint.
