As Manu Sharma was later proven guilty by court , this clearly indicates that Mr. Jethmalani had enough evidence to know whether his client was guilty or not. Now whether lawyers like Mr.Jethmalani should defend clients like Manu Sharma is their right as a lawyer, but I believe lawyers as a whole should also be held accountable. There should be some law which punishes and incriminates lawyers who defend clients who are eventually found guilty. Because such lawyers are simply wasting the time of the judiciary and denying speedy justice. Clearly lawyers have more evidence than what is presented in court yet they end up defending criminals. This major flaw of the system needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
